Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. became Hexion Inc. in January. This signifies the return to the company name that was so well-known throughout the industry.
Our AquaBond™ resin coated sand is a next-generation proppant, which utilizes a unique chemistry that reduces the production of formation water. This increases the profitability of the well by reducing waste water storage and disposal costs, while maintaining all the typical advantages of our resin coated proppants.
Contact us to view the AquaBond proppant video that highlights how it performs using a new testing method.
We are now offering our new TriMax™ hydrogen sulfide (H2S) scavengers, which are MEA triazine products specially designed for various applications. These products can be used for:
Hexion’s new kRT™ 100 proppant is a curable resin coated sand available in a 100 mesh size. The resin coating supports the intended use of 100 mesh within the fracture network and holds open microfractures. The tailored resin system reduces dust generation, which helps improve health and safety on location.
A recent case study by Hexion studied the effect of proppant volume and proppant type on well production. This three-year study provided conclusive results from selected operators on proppant performance in the Eagle Ford.
The performance results of multiple wells documented that ROI of the additional proppant was two months based on a 20% increase in well production over uncoated frac sand. The details are shown in an easy-to-read Infographic and were included in an article released in E&P magazine.
We added 17 new transloads to the locations we have in North America in July of 2015. These strategically located transloads provide more efficient logistics to make it even easier and cost effective to do business with us. We continue to invest in our company to better serve our customers.
Hexion continues to offer educational training to keep the industry up to date on proppant technology and proppant testing. Our experts are available to train at your office or at our laboratory and business office in Houston, Texas. The latest offerings take an in-depth look at how the conductivity test is conducted, how cyclic stress can affect the proppant pack, and how the Wet, Hot Crush Test is a more realistic alternative to the API crush test.
The most current technical data sheets for our resin coated proppants are available online. Information on features and benefits along with physical and chemical properties can be easily accessed on our website. Technical data sheets on AquaBond proppants and TriMax H2S scavengers are coming soon to the website.
